Privacy Policy

This statement explains what personal data Logoteknia Oy processes, why, and what your rights are. Data controller: Logoteknia Oy (Business ID FI24891733), Pengerkatu 1, 70100 Kuopio, Finland · info@logoteknia.com · +358 44 9898298.

What we collect

Contact form: name, email address, company name, your message and any attachments — used solely to answer your enquiry and prepare a quote.

Translator network applications: profile information submitted through our invite-only form (name, contact details, languages, specialisations, work and education history, links, rate and invoicing details) and uploaded files (CVs, certificates, work samples). These are processed only on the basis of your explicit consent.

Cookies: we use functional cookies only (admin and translator-portal sessions) plus a local theme preference in your browser. We use no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, so no cookie consent is required.

Purpose and legal basis

  • Answering enquiries and preparing quotes — legitimate interest and pre-contractual steps.
  • Maintaining the translator network and preparing assignments — consent and pre-contractual steps.
  • Preventing fraud and abuse in application handling — legitimate interest.

Storage and security

Data is stored on servers located in the EU (Hetzner, Finland). Backups are retained for a maximum of 30 days, after which they are automatically deleted. A translator profile is kept until you delete it yourself or request deletion.

Disclosure

We do not sell or disclose your data to third parties. We use only the service providers necessary to operate (server hosting and email delivery), who process data on our behalf.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data. Members of the translator network can do this themselves in the translator portal: sign in with an email link, review your data, request an edit link, or permanently delete your entire profile. Other requests: info@logoteknia.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
